Help Them Today
AKWAABA QC is a nonprofit organization focused on providing services to immigrants, refugees, migrants and asylum seekers through its unique Community Navigators model.
AKWAABA QC was founded based on the Community Navigator Model. The Community navigators are individuals from the community trained to disseminate trustworthy and accurate information and connect our immigrant population with essential resources.
They also provide invaluable outreach, education, document preparation, naturalization assistance and much more to the Quad Cities' many ethnic communities.

Because we are immigrants ourselves who share the same linguistic and cultural backgrounds of the community we serve.
Because we understand our immigrant communities' struggles because we have walked in their shoes too.
Because we care about our immigrant communities and provide them with the resources they need to better navigate the Quad Cities.
Because we are immigrants who speak the languages spoken by our immigrant community - 15 languages among our navigators.
I am an immigrant myself from Togo which is a small country located in West Africa. I moved to the United States in 2008 when I was 8 months pregnant with my first child.
I remember how hard it was for me to navigate the resources here which topped with language barrier. Being aware of the struggles our newcomers are facing and knowing that the language is the biggest barrier for their integration, I have decided to found AKWAABA QC.
AKWAABA QC which means "WELCOME QUAD CITIES" is a nonprofit organization led by immigrants who share the same linguistic and cultural background of the community they serve.
Therefore, I am asking everyone, including our community partners and legislators to join us on this effort because Together, We Can Make A Difference!
Thanks!
