Volunteer With Us

Volunteers are the backbone of AKWAABA QC. Whether you can commit a few hours a month or want to be deeply involved, we have opportunities that match your availability and interests.

Event Volunteers

Help with community events, workshops, cultural celebrations, and fundraisers.

Time: 3-8 hours per event

Translators & Interpreters

Provide language support during appointments, workshops, or document translation.

Time: Flexible, as needed

Administrative Support

Assist with data entry, social media, communications, and office tasks.

Time: 4-10 hours per week

Outreach Volunteers

Connect with immigrant communities, distribute information, table at events.

Time: 5-10 hours per month

Workshop Facilitators

Lead educational workshops on financial literacy, health, employment, etc.

Time: 2-4 hours per workshop

Transportation Volunteers

Provide rides to appointments, job interviews, or important meetings.

Become a Community Navigator

Community Navigators are the heart of our organization. Trained volunteers who share the linguistic and cultural backgrounds of the communities we serve.

What You Need

Be an immigrant or have deep cultural connection to immigrant communities
Bilingual or multilingual (English + at least one other language)
Passion for helping others
Commitment to completing training program
Ability to commit 5-10 hours per week
